On the HCM Stock Exchange, the VN-Index put on 0.83 percent, reaching 465.25 points. Gainers outnumbered losers by 206-48.
The value of trades climbed 19.2 percent, compared to the previous day, to some 1.4 trillion VND (66.4 million USD) as trading volume hit nearly 96.6 million shares.
Of the 30 leading shares by capitalisation and liquidity, only five tumbled. The VN30, which is tracking these blue chips, added 0.67 percent to 546.34 points.
The benchmark HNX-Index on the Hanoi Stock Exchange also increased over 0.8 percent to 62.71 points as rising stocks were more than three times larger than declining codes. 111 million shares changed hands on a turnover of 855.2 billion VND (40.7 million USD), slightly up from the previous session.
Blue chips in Hanoi, however, dragged the HNX30 down 0.11 percent at 121.65 points.
