Jakarta (VNA) - The US Geological Survey (USGS) said on July 26 that a 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck off the Indonesian island of Sulawesi.
The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km, 100 km west of the town of Luwuk.
Meanwhile, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said the quake, with a 6.3 magnitude, was at a depth of 30 km.
Indonesia's geophysics agency BMKG said on Twitter there was no tsunami potential from the quake. There were no immediate reports on damage.
Another quake with a 5.9 magnitude occurred at the same area in the morning of the same day./.
