Summer camp connects international students

Nearly 200 outstanding students and lecturers from universities in the Asia-Pacific region are gathering at a week-long summer camp in the central province of Khanh Hoa.
Nearly 200 outstanding students andlecturers from universities in the Asia-Pacific region are gathering ata week-long summer camp in the central province of Khanh Hoa.

The International Students’ Summer Camp 2009 is being held from August2-8 by the Francophone University Agency (AUF) and Nha Trang University.

An annual event since 2007, the camp is considered an opportunityfor outstanding university students from French-speaking membercountries of the AUF, such as China, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand andVietnam, to meet, make friends and speak French.

The summer camp includes many activities to help increase theunderstanding of international students and lecturers about thehistory, tradition and culture of Vietnamese people in general and ofKhanh Hoa’s local population in particular.

A workshop dealing with the environment, a visit to the Nha TrangOceanography Institute, meetings focusing on cultural exchange topics,undersea ecosystem protection, sea-based tourism development are alsotaking place during the summer camp./.

Exhibition highlights CPV’s historical milestones
