Swimmer Vo Thanh Tung on October 21 won the sixth gold medal for Vietnam at the ongoing Asian Para Games 2014 in Incheon, the Republic of Korea.
The 29-year-old athlete finished the men’s 100m freestyle S5 event in 1 minute and 21.94 seconds, securing his third gold medal at the games.
This was the third gold medal he had pocketed during the event, after those in the 200m freestyle and 50m backstroke categories.
The same day, swimmer Vo Huynh Anh Khoa bagged a bronze in the men’s 400m freestyle S9 event.
By 9 pm of October 21, Vietnam ranked ninth in the medal table with six golds, six silvers, and four bronzes.-VNA
