SYTRAL, the Public Transport Syndicate of Rhone and Lyon in France, pledged to help Ho Chi Minh City improve its public transport system in a meeting on October 20.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City’s People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan expressed his deep gratitude for SYTRAL’s support for the city in training its traffic managerial officers.
He highly appreciated SYTRAL’s model for urban traffic management, adding that the city would carefully research the model and adapt it to HCM City to improve the effectiveness of its transport system.
Director of SYTRAL Bernard Rivalta declared his willingness to help the city connect different modes of transportation, and make the transport network smarter and more user-friendly.
SYTRAL has years of experience in installing and running urban metro rail systems. It currently manages 5 above-ground metro lines, 4 underground lines and more than 1,000 bus routes in Lyon.-VNA
