State President Luong Cuong expressed deep gratitude to international friends, progressive forces and peace-loving peoples worldwide who supported Vietnam in its struggle for liberation and in its ongoing development today.
According to the Hanoi transport management and operation centre, the policy will be applied from August 30 to the end of September 2 on 128 subsidised bus routes across the city and two metro lines – Line 2A Cat Linh – Ha Dong and Line 3.1 Nhon – Cau Giay.
Around 50 stalls will introduce specialties of the northern mountainous region, from forest vegetables and smoked meats to sticky rice, herbal liquors, and handmade brocades.
Lao Ambassador Daovy Vongxay extended his best wishes to Vietnam, its leadership, and all officials of the Vietnamese Mission in Geneva. He also voiced hope for stronger ties between the two missions in the years ahead and suggested organising a sports festival to foster exchange and friendship among officials and their families.
The Vietnam Exposition Centre in Hanoi, the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia and among the world’s top 10, is now ready for operation. Developed by Vingroup and completed in under 10 months, the 900,000m² complex will host the national exhibition marking the 80th anniversary of National Day. The venue is set to become a key destination for major domestic and international events.
