Addressing the ASEAN-Russia Foreign Ministers' Meeting held on July 22 on the sidelines of the 59th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting (AMM-59) and related meetings in the Philippines, Trung described the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit marking 35 years of dialogue relations held in Kazan, Russia, in June as an important milestone that reaffirmed the strategic value of ASEAN-Russia relations and injected fresh momentum into bilateral cooperation.

The successful trip not only strengthened ASEAN-Russia cooperation but also demonstrated Vietnam’s active role in promoting ASEAN centrality, expanding high-level exchanges and contributing to peace, friendship and development in the region and beyond.

ASEAN and Russian leaders agreed to promote connectivity between ASEAN and EAEU, trade facilitation, customs cooperation, single-window mechanisms, e-commerce and business-to-business connectivity.

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung on June 17 morning (local time) visited the "Made in Tatarstan" exhibition in Kazan, the capital of Russia's Republic of Tatarstan, as part of his trip to Russia to attend a summit marking the 35th anniversary of ASEAN-Russia relations and conduct bilateral activities.
