The Vietnamese people never forget the immortal words of Leader Fidel Castro: “For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to shed even its own blood,” and today, in the cause of national construction and defence, Vietnam is also willing to support Cuba to the best of its ability to help the country overcome difficulties and advance development.
Sharing the difficulties faced by the Cuban people due to blockades, embargoes and natural disasters, PM Chinh reaffirmed Vietnam’s commitment to always stand by, share with and support Cuba to the best of its ability, expressing confidence that the country will overcome all challenges and continue to achieve new successes in national construction and defence.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla said he deeply appreciates Vietnam’s strong solidarity and unwavering support for the Cuban people, noting the Vietnamese side shows its commitment to advancing bilateral projects.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son expressed his delight at the fruitful development of the Vietnam – Cuba relations in all Party, State, and people-to-people diplomacy channels, reaffirming that the Party and State of Vietnam attach importance to the special relationship with Cuba, the first country in the Western Hemisphere to establish diplomatic ties with Vietnam.
