The festival brings together more than 50 food stalls from provinces and cities nationwide, alongside a strong international presence. Visitors are immersed in a lively culinary space featuring live cooking demonstrations, presentations of regional specialities and international dishes, high-quality OCOP products, and food models designed with export potential in mind.
The iconic Vietnamese dish bun bo Hue has been officially inscribed on the list of national intangible cultural heritage under the category of folk knowledge. A symbol of Hue’s culinary tradition, the dish embodies centuries of folk wisdom and reflects the soul, lifestyle, and gastronomy of the Hue people. This recognition not only affirms the cultural value of Hue cuisine but also marks an important step towards the city’s ambition of becoming a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
The traditonal knowledge of Bun Bo Hue has just been recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The new rice festival of the Co Tu ethnic people and the traditional knowledge of bun bo Hue (Hue-style beef noodle soup) have both been officially listed in the national intangible cultural heritages, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue city have announced.
