At a meeting with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Britain (CPB) Robert Griffiths in London on October 29 as part of his official visit to the European country, Party General Secretary Lam said that his trip aims at enhancing the cooperation between the two countries. He highlighted that Vietnam wishes to learn from the UK’s experience in policy formulation and long-term national development planning in the new period.
Not only communists in Britain, but those around the world can learn much from the stories and solidarity of the Vietnamese people. This serves as an inspiration for fellow communists worldwide, said Robert Griffiths, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Britain (CPB).
The two sides discussed future cooperation activities, including sharing leadership and organisation experiences, increasing political dialogues, and supporting cultural exchanges.
The legacy of late Party chief Nguyen Phu Trong will, as part of Vietnam’s revolutionary tradition, become part and parcel of building Vietnam, and will continue in the work of the Party under the leadership of newly elected Party General Secretary To Lam.
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong plays a highly important role in the stability and development of Vietnam, with the three legacies of the Party building and rectification, uprightness, and the “bamboo diplomacy” policy, which not only consolidate public trust in the Party’s leadership but also inspire future generations.
