Vietnamese rescuers pulled seven more bodies from the rubble after twin earthquakes in Venezuela. They also worked with local authorities to identify and hand over 12 locations where victims are suspected to remain buried. The mission has so far recovered a total of 30 bodies from collapsed structures.
Both Vietnam and Indonesia are expected to benefit from growing digital cooperation, with promising areas including artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, fintech, and digital infrastructure, supported by their young populations and dynamic startup ecosystems.
Vietnam called for an open, inclusive regional architecture with ASEAN at its core, insisting that all new initiatives be transparent, respect international law, complement one another, and avoid undermining ASEAN centrality or turning Southeast Asia into an arena for great power rivalry. It expressed full support for and readiness to cooperate with the Philippines - ASEAN Chair 2026.
