The council reviewed its performance and the implementation of emulation and commendation work during the first half of the year, agreed on key tasks for the remainder of 2026, and considered nominations for the conferment and posthumous conferment of the “Hero of the People's Armed Forces” and “Hero of Labour” titles on collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh further stressed that emulation movements should be aligned with five strategic priorities: improving strategic institutions, mobilising strategic resources, investing in strategic infrastructure, developing strategic technologies, and maintaining strategic balance.
The 14th National Party Congress is a major political event of historic significance. Officials, Party members and people nationwide are actively engaging in emulation movements, striving to fulfil assigned goals and tasks and contribute to shared achievements welcoming the event.
The Party chief commended the accomplishments made by the sector through emulation movements during the last five years, and throughout its 80-year history of formation and development. He attributed the achievements to the wisdom, dedication, and efforts of generations of officials, workers, farmers, intellectuals, and enterprises, as well as the leadership and guidance of the Party and the State.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on January 25 asked ministries, agencies, organisations, and localities to launch new emulation movements, taking the example of the one on doing away with makeshift houses as part of the efforts to materialise the national target programme on socio-economic development in ethnic minority-inhabited and mountainous areas.
