Foreign direct investment (FDI) disbursed in Vietnam during the first two months of this year is estimated at 3.21 billion USD, up 8.8% year-on-year and the highest level recorded for the period in the past five years, according to the National Statistics Office under the Ministry of Finance.
Many foreign businesses have expressed their readiness to invest in Ho Chi Minh City, provided that administrative procedures are simplified and handled more efficiently.
In the first half of 2025, registered foreign direct investment (FDI) into Vietnam exceeded 21.5 billion USD - up 32.6% increase year-on-year, marking the highest level since 2009. Disbursed FDI also rose to over 11.7 billion USD, up 8.1%, signalling genuine investor confidence and commitment.
