At the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, the Vietnamese team competed in all events and secured a total of 10 medals, including three golds, two silvers and five bronzes. The gold medals were won in the men’s individual épée, men’s individual sabre, and men’s team sabre events.
The national wrestling team finished the Games with an outstanding haul of ten gold and two silver medals, nearly double the original target of five to six golds.
