The year 2025 continued to see strong recovery and growth among established domestic carriers such as Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, and Bamboo Airways, while also marking the market entry of Sun PhuQuoc Airway (SPA).

The four-day holiday, which began from August 30, not only brought huge revenues to the tourism sector, but also boosted domestic consumption, with strong demand for dining, shopping, and travel.

Only 28,473 visited Hanoi during the four-day holiday on the occasion of the National Reunification Day and May Day holiday (April 30 – May 3), dropping nearly 92 percent compared to the same period last year due to impact from the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the municipal Department of Tourism.

A total of 79 people were killed and 76 others were injured in 133 traffic accidents nationwide during the four-day holiday from April 30 to May 3, according to Vice Chairman of the National Committee on Traffic Safety Khuat Viet Hung.

The numbers of traffic accidents and fatalities during the four-day holiday from April 28-May 1 decreased remarkably from the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Public Security.
