Party General Secretary and State President To Lam chaired the second meeting of the Central Military Commission for the 2025-2030 term in Hanoi on June 24, during which he emphasised the need for breakthroughs in building a revolutionary, regular, elite and modern military by stepping up the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.
On December 16, the Mekong delta city of Can Tho held its first forum on science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Technology and Can Tho University. The forum focused on making breakthroughs in these areas to support the implementation of Resolution No. 57.
Deputy PM Bui Thanh Son called for the UAE’s support in promoting the launch of FTA negotiations between Vietnam and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and in considering investment in developing Halal industrial zones in Vietnam.
In his opening speech, the Party chief highlighted the significance of the event, saying that the convening of the conference nearly three months earlier than the schedule demonstrates the proactive, urgent, and highly responsible spirit of the entire Party in comprehensively and thoroughly preparing the contents to be presented at the 14th National Party Congress.
