Speaking at the launch, Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said Malaysia must accelerate progress on the UN Sustainable Development Goals as the country enters the final four years before the 2030 deadline.

Preliminary estimates showed the Malaysian economy expanded by 5.8% in the second quarter of 2026, lifting growth for the first six months of the year to 5.6%, up from 4.5% in the same period of 2025.
