Minister Counsellor Nguyen Hai Luu reiterated Vietnam's support for the two-State solution based on the pre-1967 borders, in line with international law and relevant UN resolutions, with a view to achieving a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the Middle East.
Vietnam is commited to responsible natural resource governance and stands ready to work closely with international partners to ensure natural resources become a driver of peace, prosperity and sustainable development.
Minister Counsellor Nguyen Hai Luu stressed that with only four years left to deliver the 2030 Agenda, the international community must take more decisive action to accelerate the realisation of the SDGs.
Reaffirming Vietnam’s consistent position of condemning terrorism in all forms, manifestations and motivations, Minister Counsellor Nguyen Hai Luu, Deputy Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN, called on UN member states to strengthen cooperation in investigating, prosecuting and bringing to trial individuals and organisations responsible for planning, carrying out or financing terrorist acts, including those linked to terrorist incidents in Vietnam in recent years.
Stressing that these crises are inflicting immense suffering on civilians, disrupting global trade and energy supplies, and eroding trust in multilateral mechanisms, Minister Counsellor Nguyen Hai Luu stressed that there can be no military solution to the challenges facing the Middle East.
