At the talks, the two ministers agreed to effectively implement the 2026 cooperation plan between the two ministries, along with coordination mechanisms among their functional units, to promptly detect and combat all types of crime. They will enhance cooperation at all levels in building a proactive security posture, contributing to early prevention and response to threats against national security.
Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang hosted in Hanoi on November 18 Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Slovakia Robert Kaliňák.
Affirming that Vietnam and Poland still have significant potential and room to enhance cooperation, particularly between the law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime, Quang expressed his pleasure that the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs will sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cybersecurity cooperation during this visit.
The Hanoi Convention will serve as a foundation for Vietnam to expand cooperation, enhance technical assistance, strengthen digital investigative capabilities, and promote information sharing.
In response to this situation, Vietnam has issued various policies, legal frameworks, programmes, and important action plans to combat human trafficking and illegal immigration, and implemented comprehensive preventive and enforcement measures, demonstrating a firm commitment to eliminating this type of crime and contributing to the goal of “protecting human security.”
