The central steering committee for the celebrations of major national holidays and important historic events for 2023–2025 has extended its heartfelt thanks to leaders, veterans, citizens, armed forces, and international friends, who made the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day a resounding success.
Four international military contingents from China, Russia, Laos and Cambodia joined the grand parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, demonstrating their long-standing cooperation with Vietnam.
Vietnam’s 80th National Day celebrations unfolded today in a sea of red, with flags, flowers and beaming faces welcoming the biggest ever parade and march, creating a special atmosphere that touches not only the hearts of its own citizens but also those of foreign guests living in Hanoi at this particular time.
The PM warned that hostile forces may seek to take advantage of these occasions to sow division and undermine the great national solidarity. Besides, high travel demand, public gatherings, parades, and celebration activities raised concerns regarding public order, social safety, criminal activities, traffic safety, and fire prevention.
On August 19, 250 projects with a total investment capital of 1.28 quadrillion VND will be inaugurated or commenced simultaneously nationwide from 9 am. These projects are expected to drive socio-economic development and boost national growth.
