The Naval Region 2 Command, headquartered in Long Son commune, Ho Chi Minh City, held a meeting on January 15 to assign tasks to a working delegation of journalists ahead of their departure to visit and extend Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to officers and soldiers stationed on the DK1 platform, vessels on duty at sea, and Con Dao Special Zone.

As part of the training programme at sea in the first phase of 2021, the Navy Region 2 Command organises K2 training with live ammunition firing, and instructs units of the Naval Region 2 on how to coordinate with each other.

Tet gifts from the Ministry of National Defence and the navy as well as specialties from around the country are being delivered to personnel at offshore economic, scientific, and technical service stations, known as DK1 platforms, and in Con Dao island district.
