In recent days, a bright smile has returned to the face of To Thi Sua, a resident in Ngo May commune in the Central Highland province of Gia Lai. Just one month ago, her home collapsed during historic floods. Now, after only 12 days, officers and soldiers of the Engineering Brigade 7 under Army Corps 34 have completed a new 55-square-meter house for her.

Quang Trung Campaign: Rapid action for flood-hit people

Less than two weeks after historic floods swept through central Vietnam, hundreds of new homes have already risen from the rubble.
The Quang Trung Campaign, launched on December 1, 2025 under Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s directive, aims to ensure that flood-hit families have safe housing before the Lunar New Year.

New homes for the disadvantaged – a gift from Party, State

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during the third meeting of the central steering committee for eliminating substandard houses described the housing support programme as a “command from the heart” and called for the completion of the programme by the end of October 2025.
