With its enlarged development space, Ho Chi Minh City now combines strengths in urban development, industry and services with high-tech agriculture, the marine economy, logistics and diverse ecological areas. These conditions provide an ideal testing ground for UAV applications in urban management, land administration, environmental monitoring, disaster prevention and response, agriculture, logistics and public services.
The initiative marks a shift from traditional investment promotion toward a digital ecosystem that standardises information and provides transparent connections with investors worldwide.
The initiative aims to establish and perfect mechanisms and policies to encourage greater participation from enterprises, organisations, training institutions and individuals in developing civil cryptography technology.

While traditional electronic kiosks mainly provide information lookup or queue-number services, the new AI kiosk applied by Dong Tien commune in Thanh Hoa province incorporates technologies such as AI, a conversational virtual assistant, voice recognition, natural language processing (NLP), optical character recognition (OCR), and connectivity with the VNeID digital identity platform and the national online public service system.
According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, the country welcomed around 10.6 million international visitors in the first five months of 2026, up nearly 15% year on year and the highest figure recorded in many years. Singapore remained one of Vietnam’s fastest-growing source markets during the period.
With Vietnam’s e-commerce sustaining annual growth of around 20–25% and emerging as one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic markets, further improving the legal framework, strengthening consumer trust and fostering a fair competitive environment will help make e-commerce one of the key drivers of Vietnam’s digital economy in the near future.
