Vietnam enhances digital capabilities for peacekeepers

To strengthen digital capacity, Vietnam is expanding cooperation with the UN, international organisations, troop-contributing countries and development partners in training, knowledge sharing, innovation and force development, while promoting science, technology and digital transformation in personnel preparation.

Vietnamese, Lao supreme courts deepen cooperation

The two chief justices reaffirmed that the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic cohesion between Vietnam and Laos are an invaluable asset of the two nations. They agreed to continue effectively implementing high-level agreements reached by the two Parties and States, thereby further strengthening cooperation between the two judicial systems.

They also stressed the important role of the Parties in providing strategic direction for bilateral and trilateral relations and agreed to make full use of existing cooperation mechanisms, including meetings among the three Prime Ministers, parliamentary leaders, defence ministers, public security/interior ministers, and foreign ministers.

Vietnam, Panama hold second political consultation to deepen bilateral ties

Giang reaffirmed that Vietnam highly evaluates Panama's role and position in Latin America and wants to further strengthen the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries. He said Vietnam and Panama, with their strategic geographical locations, could serve as gateways linking the economies of ASEAN and Latin America.

Da Nang opens showcase for signature local products at airport

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Industry and Trade Do Thi Quynh Tram said Da Nang is home to a wide range of distinctive OCOP products, rural industrial goods and local specialities. The new exhibition spaces will help connect high-quality local products with consumers, particularly tourists, while enhancing brand recognition and promoting the city’s image.

VAST expands global partnerships through science and people-to-people diplomacy

During a working visit to Austria from July 19-23, a VAST delegation led by Vice President Prof. Dr. Tran Tuan Anh held a series of meetings with leading research institutions and international organisations, including the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), the Austrian Academy of Sciences, the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien), and the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Lien Khuong International Airport set to reopen on August 19

Once operations stabilise, Lien Khuong International Airport in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong is projected to serve approximately 6,800 passengers a day, nearly 1,000 more than before its temporary closure. Passenger throughput during the final four months of 2026 is forecast to reach around 816,000.
