Paris Vovinam club promotes Vietnamese culture in France

The club currently has nearly 50 members aged from seven to over 70, with regular training sessions held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, alongside extended weekend classes for both children and adults. The classes are led by a father-and-daughter team, assisted by between two and six instructors depending on the session.

Czech festival showcases story of youthful, culturally rich Vietnam

Series of events in France honours President Ho Chi Minh

The programme included the opening of a thematic exhibition, the launch of the bilingual Vietnamese–French photo book on Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh and France, a ceremony to receive archival photographs donated by overseas Vietnamese families who welcomed the late Vietnamese leader during his 1946 visit to the European country, and an artistic performance dedicated to his life and legacy.

Picasso’s painting on Vietnam peace highlighted in France

“Vive la Paix” (Long Live Peace) painting was created by Spanish artist Pablo Picasso in 1954 following the signing of the Geneva Accords and was published on the front page of the French newspaper L’Humanité. While Picasso’s famous peace dove appears prominently in the painting, he also added images of people wearing Vietnamese conical hats alongside landscapes reminiscent of Vietnam.
