The Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission looked into reports proposing disciplinary action against Party organisations and members found to have committed violations at some local Party organisations and units, including the Airports Corporation of Vietnam and the Party organisation of Ninh Binh province.

The Party Central Committee's Politburo and Secretariat held a meeting in Hanoi on August 13 to consider disciplinary measures against several Party organisations and members committing wrongdoings.

President Ho Chi Minh once affirmed that: “Cadres are the root of all work. Success or failure depends on good or bad cadres.” Hence, he began preparations for the establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam by focusing on personnel training.

Resolutely handling wrongdoing officials, including those holding high positions, demonstrates the political determination of the Party and the State to make the apparatus pure and tighten Party disciplines and State laws.

The inspection and supervision work should match political tasks and Party building, as well as the reality in each locality and unit, delegates heard at the January 27 afternoon session of the 13th National Party Congress.​

The Political Bureau has issued a warning as a disciplinary measure against the Standing Board of the Da Nang city Party Committee (2015-2020 term) for its serious rule violations and mistakes.
