The Supreme People’s Procuracy has asked press agencies to publish information on the prosecution, urging Ha Xuan Nghiem to present himself to public security or people’s procuracy agencies in Vietnam to benefit from the State’s leniency policy .

The Investigation Security Agency has issued its investigation conclusion and transferred the case dossier to the Supreme People’s Procuracy, proposing prosecution and trial in absentia of Dao Minh Quan and his accomplices for conducting "terrorist acts aimed at opposing the people’s administration” and “activities aimed at overthrowing the people’s administration”.

Vietnam underlined its resolute condemnation against terrorist acts in any form or for any purpose at a plenary meeting held by the Sixth Committee (Legal) of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly on October 3.

Five terrorists were arrested by Indonesia’s Densus 88 counter-terrorism squad on October 2 for allegedly involving in the Eastern Indonesia Mujahideen (MIT), a militant group linked to the self-claimed Islamic State (IS).

Vietnam strongly condemns terrorist acts in any form and holds that such deeds must be strictly punished, Spokesperson of the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Le Thi Thu Hang said.
