The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) is showcasing its 80-year journey at the national exhibition on achievements marking the 80th National Day, highlighting its contributions to the country’s revolutionary cause and its role as a leading press agency at home and abroad.
On the evening of August 27, 2025, crowds of Hanoians flocked to central streets to welcome the marching contingents during the State-level rehearsal for the celebration and parade marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
In the spirit of sharing and supporting the public in joining activities for the 80th National Day celebration, parade, and march, the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) has launched a series of vibrant and meaningful events, starting from August 27.
A total of 8,800 volunteers, selected for their strong political commitment and ethics from 43 universities, colleges, and localities, will serve the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2).
At 8 pm on August 24, the second grand rehearsal for the parade celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, took place at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi. Despite unfavourable weather with scorching sunshine alternating with heavy showers, people gathered from very early to watch the rehearsal.

On July 30 afternoon, Colonel General Truong Thien To, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, visited, inspected and encouraged parade contingents training at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park and National Military Training Centre 4 in Hanoi, in preparation for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 1) and National Day of (September 2).
