Vietnamese Ambassador to Türkiye Dang Thi Thu Ha reviewed the development of bilateral ties since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1978, affirming that cooperation has grown strongly and substantively, particularly in politics and diplomacy, economy and trade, and defence and security. She congratulated Türkiye on officially becoming a dialogue partner of ASEAN.
Vietnam is an important partner of Türkiye in the Southeast Asia. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1978, both countries have cultivated a fruitful cooperation based on friendship, solidarity and mutual respect.
Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Berris Ekinci affirmed Turkey’s desire to deepen cooperation with Vietnam, noting that since establishing diplomatic ties in 1978, the two countries have maintained effective collaboration in trade, investment, defence industry, culture, and tourism.
State President Luong Cuong hosted a reception on September 11 for Turkish Defence Minister Yasar Guler, who is on a working visit to Vietnam.
