Ambassador Tran Quoc Khanh affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to its relationship with Algeria and wishes to expand cooperation with localities, including Annaba, particularly following the elevation of bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership in November 2025.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria Tran Quoc Khanh has visited Oran Province to follow up on agreements from Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's November visit, during which he held meetings with local officials and business representatives.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria Tran Quoc Khanh said the official visit to Algeria from November 18-20 by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh holds historic significance, marking the highest-level visit to Algeria by a Vietnamese leader in the past 10 years, following the one by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung in 2015.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria Tran Quoc Khanh on September 16 had a working session with Abdelkader Toumi, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Batna province, which is twinned with Dien Bien province of Vietnam, and representatives of Algerian enterprises to seek ways to expand cooperation in various fields.
The diplomat affirmed that the signing ceremony, slated for October in the Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi, is not merely a formal signing event, but also conveys a message of international cooperation in combating this type of crime, as well as providing an opportunity for international friends to better understand Vietnam, and its culture, and people.
Several businesses in Algeria’s Biskra province have expressed their interest in finding partners in Vietnam for cooperation in date processing and export, as well as in the import of processed coconut products and other agricultural and food items with Halal certificate from Vietnam.
