Tea culture exchange strengthen Vietnam- Sri-Lanka ties

Vietnam’s tech haven opens doors to Sri Lankan talent with first full funding

The scholarship programme funds one year of Vietnamese language studies, plus a five-year engineering curriculum. Coverage includes full tuition, housing, living expenses, insurance, and round-trip airfare. The selected majors must meet PTIT’s academic strengths and Sri Lanka’s development needs, including information technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, electronics and telecommunications engineering, computer engineering, and Internet of Things (IoT).

Cultural bridge connects Vietnam with Sri Lanka

Ambassador Trinh Thi Tam highlighted that Vietnam and Sri Lanka share a longstanding traditional friendship nurtured by similarities in history, culture, and religion. She stressed that cultural exchanges serve as a bridge bringing the people of the two countries closer, enhancing mutual understanding, and opening up practical cooperation opportunities in education, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

Sri Lanka lauds Vietnam’s dynamic development

As part of the National Day celebration, the Vietnamese Embassy in Sri Lanka will organise a Vietnam cultural day in Ambakote and a taste-of-Vietnam food week in Colombo, featuring specialties from across the Southeast Asian country.

ASEAN founding anniversary celebrated in Sri Lanka

The Vietnamese Embassy in Sri Lanka, in coordination with the Embassies of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Myanmar, held a ceremony to celebrate the 57th founding anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) at the Indonesian Embassy's headquarters in Colombo on August 13.
