The 2024 Hue Community Ao Dai (long dress) Week was launched on June 24 in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue, aiming to preserving and promoting the beauty of the Vietnamese traditional costume.

More than 30,000 domestic and foreign visitors attended the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2022, which took place from December 2-4 in the capital city.

With the aim of further promoting Vietnam’s traditional outfit, the “ao dai”, among international friends and honouring its value while assisting in the compilation of a dossier on recognising the traditional Hue ao dai as a national intangible cultural heritage, Thua Thien-Hue province has been working hard to raise awareness about the outfit through a series of different events.
