Ambassador Choi Young Sam affirmed that Vietnam has become one of the RoK's most important partners in the latter's foreign policy towards the region, and the RoK has established itself as a trusted partner of Vietnam across a wide range of fields.
The RoK is currently Vietnam’s biggest foreign investor, its second-largest source of tourists and ODA provider, and its third-largest trading partner and labour market. Two-way trade reached 89.5 billion USD in 2025, while cumulative Korean investment hit 98.9 billion USD in 10,447 projects as of March 2026.
The RoK's Financial News is now the 30th member of the foreign press corps in the country, reflecting the robust and comprehensive development of Vietnam–RoK relations across key fields such as economy, politics, diplomacy, trade, investment, and people-to-people exchange.
