Lao Minister of Foreign Affairs Thongsavanh Phomvihane affirmed that Vietnam will remain a pivotal force in driving ASEAN’s strategic agenda across all pillars, contributing to the region’s collective progress and prosperity.

Speaking with the Vietnam News Agency ahead of the 30th anniversary of Vietnam’s ASEAN membership (July 28, 1995 – 2025), Tran Ba Phuc, Chairman of the Vietnamese Business Association in Australia and Vice Chairman of the Overseas Vietnamese Business Association, emphasised Vietnam’s active role in strengthening intra-regional solidarity and promoting peace, order, and stability in the region.

An ASEAN flag hoisting ceremony was held in Hanoi on August 7 to mark the 53rd founding anniversary of the association and 25 years of Vietnam’s ASEAN membership.

An exhibition highlighting 48 years of ASEAN peace and development as well as 20 years of Vietnam’s ASEAN membership opened in Hanoi on September 8.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Ukraine hosted a ceremony to hoist the ASEAN flag in celebration of the bloc’s 48th founding anniversary (August 10) and the 20th year of Vietnam’s ASEAN membership.
