Vietnam welcomed more than 10 million international visitors in the first five months of 2026, up 14.9% year-on-year, driven by a stable and safe environment, more open visa policies, enhanced tourism promotion, diverse tourism products and improving service quality.
Vietnam’s coastal tourism market is entering the 2026 summer peak season on a strong note, with popular destinations including Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Ha Long and Cat Ba recording robust visitor growth from early May.
In 2025, Hanoi welcomed more than 33.7 million visitors, up 20.8% from 2024. International arrivals exceeded 7.82 million, a 22.7% year-on-year increase. Total tourism revenue was estimated at more than 134.46 trillion VND (about 5.1 billion USD), a 21.5% rise year on year.
