As the country enters a new era, the Party and State have designated sci-tech and and innovation as central priorities, Kiem said, adding that VNU-Hanoi, alongside other higher education establishments, must not only produce high-caliber talents but also function as a hub for knowledge transfer and groundbreaking innovation.
According to Duc, the core message in the top leader’s remarks was that VNU-Hanoi must become a truly elite institution that serves as a national academic pillar, a pioneer in science, technology and innovation, and a leading centre for training high-quality human resources.
Building on the coalition of five universities to develop high-quality human resources for the semiconductor industry initiated by the Ministry of Education and Training in Da Nang in 2023, VNU-Hanoi launched the semiconductor alliance to link education, research, and industry; foster an open ecosystem and develop high-quality human resources and “Make in Vietnam” semiconductor products.
VNU-Hanoi and its affiliated units signed six cooperation agreements with Belgian organisations focused on education, research, and academic exchange.
