ASEAN foreign ministers will convene a special meeting in Indonesia on October 27 to discuss the Myanmar peace process, Cambodia's foreign ministry said on October 23.

In his capacity as the Special Envoy of the ASEAN Chair on Myanmar, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn is paying a working visit to Myanmar from March 21-23.

Vietnam and Singapore have issued a joint press statement on strengthening strategic partnership and recovery cooperation on the occasion of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s State visit to Singapore from February 24-26.

Indonesia and Singapore stressed the importance of the implementation of ASEAN’s Five-Point Consensus on Myanmar during a meeting between Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on January 25.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo has reaffirmed the importance of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)’s five-point consensus on Myanmar, during his phone talks with Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

Japan supports ASEAN’s efforts, including the ‘Five-Point Consensus’ which aims to resolve the situation in Myanmar, and its prompt implementation, according to Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio.

The ASEAN Secretariat has issued a statement on outcomes of a working visit to Myanmar of Chairman of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM), Minister of Foreign Affairs II of Brunei Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof and Secretary-General of ASEAN Dato Lim Jock Hoi, on June 4-5.
