A Vietnamese delegation attended the 27th meeting of the ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF)’s Board of Governors which took place on July 29 in the framework of the 11th ASEAN Para Games in Surakarta, Indonesia.

Hosts Indonesia have announced a one-week delay of the 11th ASEAN Para Games, although preparations are going well.

Indonesia has received official approval to replace Vietnam to host the ASEAN Para Games 2022, Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sport Zainudin Amali said on February 24.

Vietnam will officially host the 11th Southeast Asian Para Games (ASEAN Para Games 11) in December with 11 sports.

The 2020 ASEAN Para Games have been postponed to October 3 – 9 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 10th ASEAN Para Games in the Philippines has been postponed for the second time due to the novel coronavirus epidemic.

The week-long ninth ASEAN Para Games wrapped up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on September 23 evening.
