The Ministry of Nature Resources and Environment has urged relevant agencies to arrange activities in the “Action Month for Environment”, in response to the World Environment Day (June 5).

Over 200 young volunteers in the central Da Nang city have gathered to clean up Son Tra peninsula, one of the tourist attractions in the city.

An action month on environmental protection will be launched in June under the theme “Resolving pollution caused by plastic and nylon” as part of activities to mark World Environment Day on June 5.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province will coordinate in holding a ceremony to mark International Day for Biological Diversity on May 19.

Close to 2 million people nationwide directly participated in activities in response to the “Action month for environment” and World Environment Day.

The national action month for environmental protection kicked off at a ceremony in Lao Cai city on June 4.
