The northern province of Quang Ninh plans to start work on two bridges spanning Cua Luc Bay later this month to help foster the development of Ha Long city.

Due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic, many tourism service providers have been operating under a tight budget, and to stop the spread of the deadly virus, some have closed.

Ha Long city of the northern coastal province of QuangNinh, located on the banks of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay, is still a popular tourist attraction with nearly 7.15 million visitors in the first eight months of this year, up 22 percent year on year.

All tourist ships operating in Ha Long Bay will be moved to Tuan Chau international port as the Bai Chay tourist port will cease operation from January 1, 2016.
