Former Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) Ban Ki-moon was elected as Chairman of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) on April 9, replacing former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda.
The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) commenced in the Chinese southern province of Hainan on April 8 with a press conference and the release of three reports, including one forecasting that Asia will lead the world economy with its strong economic growth.
