The northern province of Ha Nam has imposed lockdown on Dao Ly commune in its Ly Nhan district, the latest hotbed of COVID-19.

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) has collaborated with the National Volunteer Centre and Fly to Sky charity group as well as donors to present 30,000 facemasks and 1,000 bottles of antiseptic solution with total value of 345 million VND (14,994 USD) to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hai Duong province – the current largest COVID-19 hotbed.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has requested authorities to give the top priority to localising and soon wiping out the COVID-19 hotbed in the central city of Da Nang.

Authorities in Hanoi are ramping up efforts to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus from Bach Mai Hospital, considered the biggest and most complex hotbed of COVID-19 in Vietnam at present, after more than 10 cases linked with this large hospital have been recorded.
