A new series of books for children to read, touch and feel have been released to mark Children’s Day (June 1).

Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh has issued a direction asking for prompt investigations into recent cases of child abuse and murder exposed by local media means.

The annual meeting between the President and disadvantaged students, arranged by the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) since 2008, has lit up hope for many of them.

The 2016 action month for children will take place from June 1-30 in Hanoi under the motto “For safe lives, preventing accidents and injuries for children”, reported the Vietnam Government Portal.
