A document on Vietnam’s participation in the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired, or Otherwise Print Disabled has been handed over to Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) Daren Tang for legal copyrighting.
Vietnam’s accession to the WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty (WPPT) and implementation of the pact is expected to encourage the development of the local cultural industry, Ambassador Le Thi Tuyet Mai, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN, WTO and other international organisations in Geneva said.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on November 29 morning (Vietnam time) had a working session with Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) in Geneva as part of the former’s official visit to Switzerland.

Vietnam fully supports the proposed list of new leaders of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and highly values the excellent contributions of their predecessors to WIPO’s past activities, said Ambassador Le Thi Tuyet Mai, head of the Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the UN, World Trade Organisation and other international organisations in Geneva, Switzerland.
