Members of the European Union (EU) have expressed their wish to promote cooperation with Vietnam, including the earliest possible signing of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and the EU-Vietnam Investment Promotion Agreement (EVIPA), EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström has said.
Vietnam’s shrimp exports are expected to increase to more than 4 billion USD in 2019 thanks to free trade agreements, said the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).
Vietnam and the European Union (EU) will continue efforts to complete procedures so as to officially sign, ratify and enforce the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), said the Foreign Ministry’s spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang.
Acting President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh hosted separate receptions for ambassadors of the Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark who came to present her with their letters of credence on October 16.
