The Secretariat of the Association of Southeast Asia (ASEAN), together with the East Asia Business Council, has run the 5th round of the webinar series on the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, as the ASEAN Plus Three Chair, proposed the business community continue standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the governments in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and in economic recovery in East Asia at the ASEAN Plus Three Leaders’ Interface with Representatives from East Asia Business Council on November 14.
The East Asia Business Council (EABC) has recently convened its 47th meeting in an online format, attracting representatives from 13 East Asian nations, including 10 ASEAN member states and their three partners of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
Many initiatives will be offered to foster cooperation among regional businesses towards further promoting trade and investment exchange after Vietnam takes over the chairmanship of the EABC in 2020.
The 19th consultation between ASEAN economic ministers and ministers from ASEAN’s partner countries of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (RoK) was held in Vientiane, Laos, on August 4.
