The Institute of Cultural Exchange with France (IDECAF) held a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on November 29 to mark its 40th founding anniversary.

A conference was held in the northern port city of Hai Phong on May 25 to promote French investment in the locality.

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung spoke highly of France’s investment in Vietnam while hosting a reception in Hanoi on May 15 for several large French enterprises operating in infrastructure and aviation.

Vietnam hopes French enterprises will do successful business in the Southeast Asian country in the long run, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong said at a meeting with representatives from the Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF) in Paris on March 27.
