Despite being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, German firms have planned to expand their business in Vietnam, Alexander Goetz, Chairman of the German Business Association (GBA), has said.
German enterprises have said they expect that Vietnam’s economy will recover in the mid-term, according to the AHK World Business Outlook 2020 released by the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) on April 7.
German enterprises are very interested in cooperating with Hanoi, especially in terms of water supply and drainage and transport, outgoing German Ambassador to Vietnam Christian Berger has said.
Hanoi authorities always attach importance to the cooperation with German enterprises in various fields like pollution treatment, clean water supply and infrastructure development, according to a municipal leading official.
