Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Duong Hai Hung has presented his credentials to IFAD President Gilbert F. Houngbo.

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), in collaboration with the Southeast Asian Regional Centre for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), on June 1 organised a forum themed “Transforming the Food System in ASEAN post COVID-19: Responding to Food Security and Inclusiveness Concerns”.

A conference was held in the central province of Quang Binh on June 21 to review the Sustainable Rural Development Project (SPRD) for the poor during the 2014-2018 period.

Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Hue, Vietnamese Permanent Representative to the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), has lauded the fund’s support to Vietnam over the years and affirmed the Vietnamese Government wants to strengthen cooperation with and contribute more to the fund’s activities.

The northern province of Tuyen Quang on January 30 reviewed the implementation of the Agriculture, Farmers and Rural Areas Support Project (TNSP) in the province in 2011-2017.

The project for adaptation to climate change in the Mekong Delta has produced positive results in Tra Vinh province, said Director of the project’s provincial coordinating board Huynh Nghia Tho.
