Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia joined talks with Chief of Staff of the Japan Ground Self-Defence Force General (JGSDF) Yoshida Yoshihide on May 25, during his working visit to Japan.
Effective defence cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, including the ties between the two ground forces, has contributed importantly to the bilateral friendship.
Vietnam and Japan will work together in UN peacekeeping operations as agreed in the minutes of the two countries’ ground staff officers’ third consultation.
